On February 22nd 2017, from 6:00-8:00 pm, Crown Point Ecology Center will welcome nationally-recognized author and nutrition expert Jane Esselstyn, RN for the second in a three-part healthy dinner series. In collaboration with Mustard Seed Market & Café, Esselstyn will present “The Power of Plant Based Diet for Health and Happiness.”

Jane Esselstyn is an avid and inventive designer of plant-strong recipes and the co-author of The Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease Cookbook. She created the recipe sections of #1 NY Times bestseller, Plant-Strong and The Engine 2 Seven Day Rescue, by Rip Esselstyn. Jane is a fresh, charismatic voice bringing her perspective and passion as a nurse, researcher, mother, and teacher to her presentations, food demonstrations, and cookbooks with clarity, hilarity, and a can-do attitude.

The evening’s meal will include an interactive conversation and a South American inspired menu. Crown Point Executive Director, Monica Bongue-Bartlesman, Ph.D., and team members from Mustard Seed Market & Café,  Abraham Nabors and Gabriel Riazi, will also be on hand to share additional information about the night’s topic and our local natural food resources.

The third event in the healthy dinner series will take place on March 23rd with guest speaker Rhondalynn Smith Brustoski, ND, from Nature Cure Health and Wellness in Chagrin Falls. Each meal will feature local, seasonal, Ohio-grown, organic, allergy-friendly foods provided by Crown Point and Mustard Seed Market & Café.  The price for each dinner and discussion is just $40.
