Local to Global: 2018 Healthy Dinner Series

After last year’s very popular “Dinner with the Experts” series, we’re expanding our horizons (and taste buds) to include new cultural experiences. Part intimate meal with friends and part cooking class adventure, this is one of our most enjoyable events of the winter season. Each guest chef will leave you with a fresh perspective and a full stomach!

January 18 | Our food exploration starts right at home with Margaret Medzie who will share her journey and experiences around how to find and use locally-grown, nutrient-dense foods to expand your cooking routines.

February 22 | Crown Point executive director, a Colombia native, will share her favorite recipes and guests will enjoye the rich flavors of authentic Latin-American cuisine not typically served at your local restaurant.

March 15 | Lina and Rasha, refugee sisters-in-law, will serve as guest chefs through a partnership with Local Abundance Kitchen, a northeast Ohio non-profit that empowers immigrants and refugees to follow their dreams through shared global cooking classes and events.

April 26 | Aida Outtary, also a guest chef/instructor with the non-proft Local Abundance Kitchen, will cook up a variety of African delicacies and share tips for preparing her native foods in your own home.

Dinner includes meal and wine.
