Dinner and Auction Fundraiser

Saturday, August 12, 2006
5pm to 9pm

Please join us for our festive celebration of the harvest.
Savor a scrumptious dinner featuring our farm-fresh organic vegetables.
Listen to stringed melodies that speak of the land.
Delight in learning about
Earth-friendly auction items. Suppot our Crown Point mission rooted in
Sustainability, Community, Spirituality and Justice!

Dinner Menu
Taste of the Earth
August 12, 2006

 Gerber Herb Roasted Chicken
Ohio’s own naturally raised chicken, seasoned and roasted
with Mediterranean herbs

Potato Tomato Medley
Assorted fingerling, redskin, and russet potatoes
with heirloom, cherry, and beefsteak tomatoes roasted and
a chaunce of sweet and hot peppers

Greens and Biscuits
Fresh assorted greens stewed with bacon, onion, and celery,
topped with a biscuit crust

Baked Eggplant with Cashews
Assorted varieties of eggplant, onion, celery, roma tomatoes, olives and herbs topped with a cashew gratin and baked until golden brown

Cold Mixed Bean Salad with Allspice
Green and yellow string beans blanched and mixed with an allspice-roasted garlic dressing, topped with fresh chiffonade of basil and crunchy chow mein noodles

Beet and Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad
Crisp romaine hearts tossed with julienne beets, sweet rings of red onion, blue cheese, and a balsamic vinaigrette, topped with
crumbled bacon bits
 

Heirloom Tomato Salad Provencal
Sliced heirloom tomatoes with sweet and Thai basil, garlic,
Bermuda onion,
and roasted yellow peppers tossed in a white wine
and olive oil vinaigrette
