Vacation Days on the Farm!
Vacation Days are for non-Homeschoolers! Students between the ages of 6-13 years investigate nature and science on “days off” from school. Hands-on activities with crafts and in the garden offer fun for everyone. Registration is required 1-2 weeks prior to the vacation day, and payment is due upon arrival. Parents are responsible for providing a sack lunch. A health form can be downloaded at by clicking here and is due on the day of the program.
Seeds to Sprouts

It may seem early, but we are starting to plant seeds! Participants plant seeds in the youth gardens and take seeds home for their own gardens. They explore methods of plant propagation that can be used with common house plants, and observe plants from other biomes in our youth greenhouse.
Mazes, Labyrinths and More!

Crown Point Ecology Center has a unique outdoor labyrinth. Students learn about its history and walk it. They create their own finger labyrinth using materials from the farm, and reflect upon their experience using journaling techniques.
Organic Gardening

May is the time to propagate plants on the Crown Point farm. Participants learn about the soil, explore the uses of compost, create a seedling mix, and much more. Be prepared to get dirty!
