Backyard Buffet- How to Garden for Wildlife Workshop

Ever wondered how to feed a finch, or make a snack for a squirrel right in your backyard? It's easier than you think to transform your outdoor spaces into wildlife friendly habitat. In this hands-on family workshop, learn the 4 components needed to make your yard welcoming to wildlife and simple tips to transform your yard using native plants. Participants will also be given information to help them qualify their green space with the National Wildlife Federation's Certified Wildlife Habitat program.

Rain Barrel Workshop

April showers bring more than flowers in this workshop! Crown Point is teaming up with the Summit County Soil and Water Conservation District to host a rain barrel workshop on April 17th at 2:00pm in our century barn. Expert Jeff Taiclet will present on the benefits of harvesting rain water for home gardens as well as their benefits in preventing run-off soil erosion, and pollution. He will then guide participants step-by-step in making a rain barrel for personal home use, all supplies are provided!
Cost: $70.00 for Crown Point Members/$75.00 for non-members.
